Deputy PM asks to make October 30–November 7 non-working days

MOSCOW, Oct 19 (PRIME) -- Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova asked the government on Tuesday to introduce non-working days from October 30 until November 7 due to an outbreak of the coronavirus.

"Dear Mikhail Vladimirovich (Mishustin, prime minister), we are suggesting tough solutions. They might be seen as unnecessary but analysis of the epidemic situation, since it is spreading across the territory of Russian Federation, shows how the situation is unfolding in other countries… we ask to support these proposals and report to head of the state," Golikova said.

Golikova asked to start the non-working period in the regions with the most severe situation from Saturday. She also asked to disburse 56 billion rubles for the support of the healthcare system.

She added that the facilities to be closed might be reopened on November 7 for visits by people with the QR codes.

The non-working and not vaccinated retirees shall be voluntarily isolated. The non-vaccinated working people over 60 must work from home for a month. Employers must give a two-day holiday to vaccinate the staff.

Mishustin asked Golikova to summarize the proposals and report to President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday.
